There are certain songs that transcend music and rapture into poetry. Not all music (song lyrics) are poetry but, I believe, all poetry is music. Therefore, when I post a music video on this blog it is because everything about the song is pure poetry to me. The lyrics, the arrangement, the visual, the voice and the ambiance that results. All components must be there for me personally, to post the video on my blog.
This is the first such video on ZouxZoux: “All Mine” performed by Portishead. It’s a performance videoed live and the film is a bit grainy. Perfect.
All the stars may shine bright
All the clouds may be white
But when you smile
Ohh how I feel so good
That I can hardly wait
All the clouds may be white
But when you smile
Ohh how I feel so good
That I can hardly wait
To hold you
Enfold you
Never enough
Render your heart to meAll mine…….
You have to beFrom that cloud, number nine
Danger starts the sharp incline
And such sad regrets
Ohh as those starry skies
As they swiftly fallMake no mistake
You shan’t escape
Tethered and tied
There’s nowhere to hide from meAll mine….
You have to beDon’t resist
We shall exist
Until the day I die
Until the day I die
Enfold you
Never enough
Render your heart to meAll mine…….
You have to beFrom that cloud, number nine
Danger starts the sharp incline
And such sad regrets
Ohh as those starry skies
As they swiftly fallMake no mistake
You shan’t escape
Tethered and tied
There’s nowhere to hide from meAll mine….
You have to beDon’t resist
We shall exist
Until the day I die
Until the day I die
All mine…….
You have to be
Saw this yesterday but was torn away before I could leave a comment.
