Whoosh, great stuff here. Lively and alive.
there is always the aftertaste of erotica in your writing,, well done…
Whirling words, thoughts and images. Energetic and rhythmic.
There was a wonderful rhythm to this poem…it really flows. Beautifully done!
gotta love it!!
ps moved before the bitch hit. my childhood home is gone, two cousins lost everything… if you are interested, i wrote about my visit on my regular blog…
i had gone back to bury my dad’s ashes…
It has rhythm. Like it..
sultry days of summer
I do love the poem itself, but I’m failing to grasp the title’s meaning. I have an idea, but I don’t think I’m on the right track.
qb, I’m so sorry for your loss. K touched us all one way or another but she will not keep us down! NOLA is the only city for me, warts and all!
pjd: honestly, the title came from the thesaurus. I was looking for an alternative word for “anticipate” and “cross the bridge” was a listed synonym. Go figure. It just fit.
Very nice. I especially liked the last line: “eternal journey, memory’s fool”. I’m not sure what it means (not feeling very clever today) but I do like it.
loved the rhymes 🙂
