Come out upon my seas
Cursed missed opportunities
Am I a part of the cure?
Or am I part of the disease?
— “Clocks” by Coldplay
Defenseless Anatomy
And I’m there
in the shadows of the sun, the humid
air curling the hair on the nape of my neck,
your hands curled around my waist as
the wind ruffles the wild grass around our ankles.
Us, caught in moments that passed so quickly
never to be played the same way again.
Was it part of the cure?
The long weeks that ripped the skin of our intimacy?
Maybe the disease is only resting in our cells, waiting
for a trigger.

wow…def like where you took this in the second stanza…sometimes it is part of the cure…to getting through the hard spots….that disease line though is tight…

I’m a fan of Coldplay (Viva La Vida is my fav album.)
love the imagery of being caught in the moment,
the shadowing sun, grass around your ankles…
intimacy is losing all defenses, and the end of disease waiting for a trigger–powerful!

I think X&Y is my favorite. I saw them back in ’09 and it’s one of the best concerts I ever saw. Thanks for visiting, Anthony!

i think the greatest thing about all human relationships is..
they are all unique connections of potential love..
and every connection of life with everyone one meets..
can be a potential snow flake of love..
Where snow ball keeps rolling
to one day perhaps…
an avalanche
of LOVE
With a whole team of Lovers.. cheering.. hurraying in the
background of Snow…wonSnowONe

When younger most of us fought the hormonal genetic triggers that hastened intimacy before substance, lust before love; good stuff in this piece, certainly rocked the prompt & rattled the old memory pan.
