“When you’re in the dark, you have to try to remember that it’s a dance – dark, light, dark, light, dim. Or when you’re in the sun but the clouds come, of course you instantly think, Oh, God, now it’s going to get cold and wet, and it’s all fucked, but then you might remember that when it was dark an earlier time, your friends shined a little thin light on it, and you remember one good thing that sort of helped, one more step you can take, maybe one more thing you can try.”
~~~Anne Lamott
My online writer friend, Tara, was a little thin light for me yesterday. She has a lovely poem today in the wonderful Isocoustic* journal and a flash fiction in the winter issue of The Tishman Review that’s a favorite of mine, page 56. Tara and I “met” in an online writing workshopping group a few years ago and have been supporters of each others work ever since. I highly recommend her prose and poetry. Her website is here.
Thanks for all you do, sis!
great quote.
great sharing: your friend’s work – loved it – and the journal it’s in.
Thank you!
