My poem, Store Manager 1980, is published today in Writing in a Woman’s Voice. Big thanks to Beate Sigriddaughter for giving this piece a home. I’m especially happy that it’s published the week of International Woman’s Day on March 8. WiaWV is a wonderful, supportive journal showcasing women’s poetry and I highly recommend it.

Thanks, Anna. Yes, I think it’s an experience many of us have had. I appreciate your comment and completely understand your initial reaction which was common, I think, for our generation. I’m glad things are changing.

Congratulations on your acceptance. Unfortunately, situations like that in your poem are not uncommon. These should be the times that change that.

Thanks so much! Even though this happened a long time ago, I was nervous and reluctant to share. I feel better knowing it was published in a supportive journal.
