bathed in showers of sunlight
petals wave to me in silken
exclamation points
sweetly pliant
I bend and weave them together
into a long line of hugs
earth and sun warmed
around my neck
a feathery amulet against the world

I remember making daisy chains as a child. Love how you brought this together ‘into long lines of hugs’.
