Beach View
Below, an umbrella glows
red
as an exploding star
and I am a
voyeur
to colored embers
running
out to a blue, blue yonder
testing
distance, then returning to
mother
I am testing my wings
flying
above the fray
away
from an imploding star
away
from your blue darkness
