Lost Purpose Dancing Backwards

Lost Purpose Dancing Backwards

Needed: amends for an old ghost,
some form of recompense.
Red light travels the most miles
through the atmosphere & bitter
to no end, we become the red tape
we rue. If we name this in our heads
Will it go away? I’m dancing this ghost
pen between you and me; I’ll write
you into a place as your face folds
into your crane neck. I will return
at night and stare into your eyes.
(Your warm spot is not yours; this I know.
You live by the fact of the sun; this I know.)

Na/GloPoWriMo day 9 – I’m off prompt today because I felt like writing a Cento. I picked up four books of poetry on my coffee table and used them for my inspiration.
