She tried to be serious with her
smart girl glasses on. Fingernails
cut short to the pink, tips weighing
heavy on the keyboard.
But the words escaped through her
bloodshot eyes like little lambs all
in a jumble running off to cavort in
the sun.

Yes, photo is great. But I was the girl in the poem at one time, in essence, so it was VERY real!!

I read this once and felt sad for her… then read it again and felt the potential creativity, struggling to get the right words out, and then joyously running into the sunlight.
It’s always nice when something like this makes you think twice.
