Thank you Charlotte. I had no idea the depth and historical value, only that it represents French culture and symbolism. I now know it holds quite a lot of symbolism, such as the Blue Angels, flower by the river, purity, emblems, and on and on. I did not know it was a lily in the emblem. I’m pleased.

It’s a lily. The fleur-de-lis is on the flag of New Orleans and is the symbol of the city. Here’s more info: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fleur-de-lis
