Fold us into Velvet

Velvet
©Charlotte Hamrick

darkness of eyes, darkness of clouds
flowing off the Gulf,
lamps will not light this place

as cerulean yields to burgundy
as night folds us into velvet,
when we sleep
you sometimes hold my hand

  1. This poem is beautiful, Charlotte. I love it. I feel it.

When you have time, please tell me what link to go to in order to change my email address in Zouxzoux from my old school address to my new personal gmail.

    Love you so much,

    Melinda
