I’m wondering your feelings about it. I only went because my brother wanted to, and we were both very very ambivalent about it. The plaza is beautiful though (and free). I still think they should have just left the entire site alone, and let nature reclaim it.
I was very moved by it, especially the room with recorded voices of the victim’s families. I think it’s a good place to remind people of the horror and the sacrifice made that day, to honor the innocent victims. The Occulus was under construction when I was there so I haven’t seen it. As much as I am a nature lover, I don’t think letting nature reclaim it would make a lasting impression like the memorial does. 😊
Thank u Charlotte! Love, Aunt Helen

It’s good to get an outsider’s opinion. Perhaps it’s just too close for comfort for me. I would never have even gone except for my brother.
