Watercolors

Our days and nights bleed together
Watercolors on canvas
Hue and tint mingling
Over hours, minutes, seconds
Our passing bodies weave a pattern
Of do’s and don’ts
Of when’s and what if’s
We linger in life’s paint strokes
Its colors running faster and faster
In response to dVerse Poet’s Pub prompt for Quadrille #136: Let’s Linger. It’s been a long, long time since I’ve participated in the Poet’s Pub. Cheers to my return! 🥂
We linger in life’s paint strokes. Very nice line.

Charlotte,
Each life is a creation, an artistry, but brief as colors like time run “faster and faster.” Beautifully conceived.

Bleed, mingle, weave, linger — faster and faster: love the strong verbs that painted this lovely picture in my mind.
