Watercolors

Audubon Park Labyrinth ©Charlotte Hamrick

Our days and nights bleed together
Watercolors on canvas
Hue and tint mingling
Over hours, minutes, seconds
Our passing bodies weave a pattern
Of do’s and don’ts
Of when’s and what if’s
We linger in life’s paint strokes
Its colors running faster and faster

In response to dVerse Poet’s Pub prompt for Quadrille #136: Let’s Linger. It’s been a long, long time since I’ve participated in the Poet’s Pub. Cheers to my return! 🥂

  1. Bleed, mingle, weave, linger — faster and faster: love the strong verbs that painted this lovely picture in my mind.
