Waiting for Mother

black hair wafting like mist

smelling of peaches and lust

and drunken pink play

she pole vaults over the sun

dreams fluffing in her eyes

fingers trailing whispery puffs

Goddess, music, shadow

I pant like a dog for her water

I love this painting seen on the Women’s Art Twitter this morning. Thought I’d use it as inspiration for a writing exercise. Have a great day, all!
