Something Small, Every Day (or so): Poet

Poet

intimacy of atoms
books and papers
letters
yellow paper
aid feelings
working behind objects and
trouble perspective
I - amateur
in a windowless office
can never be known

as something more
than a slippage
assembled

Erasure poem created from the essay “Finders Keepers” by Jenn Shapland in 2017 Pushcart Prize XLI .

My “Something Small, Every Day (or so)” series is inspired by Austin Kleon’s piece here where he says, “Building a body of work (or a life) is all about the slow accumulation of a day’s worth of effort over time.”
