Many thanks to Guest Editor Tina Barry for selecting my wee poem, “Currents”, in response to Cadmium Sea, by Barbara Danin. This is my first publication in Ekphrastic although I’ve read it for a long time and have seen several of my WordPress poet friends published there. I hope to see many more!
Have a great weekend!
Congratulations! It’s a beautiful nutshell poem – love this: “lovers stalled in loneliness”!!!

I was impressed by those middle-school kids’ poems, too!

Beautiful poem, Charlotte. The painting, too. It has such an archetypal feel to it that your poem reflects.

Congratulations, Charlotte.. That last line, “The river caresses its unrequited cargo” hints at the potential, or even the suspended potential, of being in that current.
