Today I’m posting a few photos of doors within and without of St. Mary’s Assumption Church. The church was completed on 1860 to minister to the burgeoning German Catholic immigrant population in New Orleans. Declared a National Historic Monument, it’s a rare example of German Baroque Revival architecture.

Looks like baroque revival wasn’t as ornamented as baroque was. My eyes find this easier to digest!
