Morning Meditation 12/7/14

I woke up this morning thinking about repetition and how it can be a form of mindful meditation. Every morning I have the same routine. I go downstairs, take the dogs out into the backyard, flush out the fountain with fresh water and fill the cats water bowls. If it’s been dry I water the potted plants in the yard and the patio. I go inside, make coffee, feed the dogs, feed the cats, then sit down and read and/or write while I drink my coffee. Morning Meditation 12/6/14

Often we don’t notice happiness, Ordinariness makes it hard to embrace. Pay attention, connect with the moment. Dream

One time I bought a fake rock – somewhere, I don’t remember where – that had “Dream” cut into it. At that particular moment in time I couldn’t not buy it just because it was a fake rock. “Dream” is probably my favorite word because dreams are so ripe with possibility and anyone can dream, in any circumstance. I bought the rock and put it under my magnolia tree in the backyard between two roots growing on top of the ground.
