  Freely Let Them Fall Our tears are the water of life, cleansing the debris left from suffering and grief, preparing the soil of our sensitivity, nourishing appreciation and forgiveness. __________________________________________________ The inspiration for this poem was the following passage: “The most beautiful people we have known are those who have known defeat, known suffering, known struggle, known loss, and have found their way out of the depths. The Only Side That Counts   This winter wind blows as cold as your indifference, tearing at my coat like your words tore at my heart that night when I cried out for help.
