Morning Meditation: Warmth

Sun lightened stones absorb the gift of warmth, pay it forward to wildlife feet. *** Sitting on my patio, I’ve just finished Day 2 of Depak Chopra’s newest (free) Meditation Experience. This is the fourth series I’ve participated in.  I was so into it I didn’t want to stop. I feel relaxed and centered – so different from the way I feel when I’ve watched the news or read social media. I’m stepping away from toxic and it feels so good. Today’s centering thought: I attune myself to the flow of life.  Continue reading Morning Meditation: Warmth

Mother’s Day Coming. Again.

My emotions are mixed about Mother’s Day, not being a mother myself doesn’t bother me. I’m used to the automatic happy greeting from store clerks and strangers, I just smile and say thank you. It’s like a cartoon I saw of an astonished-looking man saying, “What was that?” The caption below read, “Bob experiences a moment of well-being.” The ordinariness of our good fortune can make it … Continue reading Morning Meditation 12/6/14

After the Before Time

Ah, Monday morning. I used to hate Mondays when I worked at a job that I despised that kept me in a constant state of heart-thumping panic and made me drink too much at night. After ditching that job I now really like Mondays with its promise of a week full of mysterious things. Especially mornings like this one, partly cloudy in the 70’s with the barest hint of Spring on the breeze. I admit  it, weather really affects my mood and I just want to wallow in the springness of days like this. (Even though my backyard is full … Continue reading After the Before Time
