The wind is blowing fiercely outside whipping the trees into a frenzy. The wind chimes are clanging merrily, though, giving quite the serenade. All the little birds at the bird feeder are puffed out. Less is more at 5:30 am

At 5:30 every morning I get up to put drops in my dog Buddy’s eye. He had cataract surgery on December 7th and part of the aftercare is seven different drops at different times around the clock. Well, some of them coincide but you get the picture. He’s doing great, btw, finally able to see well enough to resume our daily walks which makes us both happy. Anyway, at 5am he has three drops that are given five minutes apart so in the five minute waiting periods I look at my iPad. WIT Month was started in 2014 by blogger Bibliobio after she researched and found women writers represent approximately only 30% of translations into English. Hot Reads and Peggy Sue

Peggy Sue April has come and gone and nothing about it turned out as I’d planned. I had to drop out of PoMoSco because life got in the way.  Real life, nuts and bolts and shit happens life. she was astonished to have written seven poems, thanks to PoMoSco.  I wrote about my trepidation earlier on joining this project but I needn’t have worried. It’s proving to be a good boost for my creativity plus I’ve “met” some nice people and talented poets. I’ve written about everything from unicorns to the hurricane. Yep. I’ve signed on it, virtually speaking. And now I’m getting the jitters and doubts and semi-regrets because, as much as it pains me to say it, I’m not a joiner.  But recently I’ve agreed to do several things, join things, show up, participate, chime in, stretch.
